About Me

Everyone calls me Sandy, but my “real” name is 陈絮影 or Xuying Chen.

I’m a current full-time MBA student at University of Southern California, a music business professional, an amateur musician, and a chatterbox. I love music. I love business. I love combining them together. One of the main reasons why I started this blog is because my friends and family all got soooo tired of me talking about music business all day, but I just couldn’t shut up. Then I figured I find somewhere else to rant. So there we have it.

I’m a proud Chinese citizen. I was educated in the US for 8 year prior, and now with my MBA studying, even more! I speak fluent Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, English, and also very elementary Spanish with a heavy English accent. I’ve been traveling around and working in different countries, so that I am fortunate to be able to blend the best of west and east in my business approach. My expertise lies in China-focused music marketing. Specific areas include digital content strategy, social media marketing, copyright business development, artist development strategy, and more.

I write my own songs too, just for fun. You can get a taste of it in the Music section above. And no, you can’t pressure me to upload more songs.

Protect the value of music.
